The Flow Testing Module integrated in the PSA-1341 CSD is designed for precise airflow validation in spigot holes and passages after ultrasonic or vibration welding. By using advanced FESTO digital flow sensors, the system ensures reliable detection of blockages, restrictions, or weld flash that may compromise product performance.
Key Technical Features:
Flow Test Technology:
- Equipped with dual FESTO digital flow sensors for real-time airflow measurement.
- Independent Flow Test-1 and Flow Test-2 channels for simultaneous testing of multiple spigot holes.
- Direct digital display of flow rate in LPM, with signals integrated into the PLC/HMI for automated monitoring.
Testing Method:
- Compressed air is supplied to the component passages.
- Flow sensors measure airflow in real-time and compare with pre-set limits.
- Ensures detection of blockages, weld flash, or abnormal restrictions.
Testing Parameters:
- Typical measurement range: 0.1 – 10 LPM (configurable as per part design).
- Display resolution: 0.1 LPM.
- Output type: Analog/Digital from FESTO SFAB series sensors.
System Integration:
- Fully connected to PLC and HMI for automatic Pass/Fail result logging.
- Flow data stored in system memory for traceability and quality control.
- Operator guidance and result status available on HMI interface.
