The SCM DI & WI Switch End-of-Line (EOL) Machine is an advanced testing and validation system designed to verify the complete functionality of steering column switches, including indicator (DI) and wiper (WI) functions. Powered by regulated digital power supply, precision multimeter measurement, and integrated vision inspection, the system ensures reliable testing, accurate performance validation, and symbol verification for defect-free production.

Key Technical Features:

Electrical Testing Technology:

  • Integrated digital DC power supply with programmable voltage and current.
  • High-precision multimeter measurement for verifying all indicator and wiper switch functions.
  • Capable of testing multiple switch modes including left/right indicators, high/low beam, wiper speeds, intermittent operation, and washer function.
  • Configurable test sequences for different product variants.

Vision Inspection Method:

  • High-resolution camera system (Keyence/Cognex/Allied Vision) for symbol print verification.
  • Image processing algorithms to detect missing, misprinted, or misaligned switch symbols.
  • Automatic comparison with reference images to ensure consistent quality.
  • Pass/Fail status communicated to the operator and system controller.

System Integration:

  • Test results displayed on HMI/PC interface for operator feedback.
  • Automatic dot marking or circle marking for OK parts.
  • Barcode label printing for traceability of tested and approved parts.
  • Poka-yoke part loading fixture with pneumatic clamping for error-free operation.
  • Auto cancellation and reset by servo mechanism after each cycle.
